Flair Dance Clothing began in 2009 as a way to help my friends and fellow dancers find outfits that are easy to wear and fun to dance in. I choose fabrics that 'move' nicely, and are easy to take care of. Many of the designs are unique to my company, as I have developed the patterns. The fabrics and colors are ones that appeal to me, and vary from elegant to flashy, from subtle to sassy, from vibrant to soft.
As a dancer and a entertainer I appreciate different styles of dance, and the wide variety of music. When we dance we try to express a mood or feeling appropriate to that music, and costumes/clothing helps us to do that. Designing that kind of clothing is fun and challenging.
FLAIR Dance Clothing is a small business based in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Our clothing line is brought to you via our travels throughout the U.S. attending festivals, conventions, and weekend events. We cater to choreographed ballroom dancing, round dancers, social dancing, swing dance, country-western dancing, to name a few. In short, if it is a style of dance - I've done my best to incorporate it.
Why do I make clothes for dancing? I love to dance!!! I've been a square dancer and round dancer for over 20 years. I've been a cuer & part-time instructor for round dancing for over 16 years. Sewing has always been a hobby, which became more serious in 2007, when 'life changed' and I could merge my two passions - dancing and sewing. Both are artistic expressions that bring me joy. I hope my creations also bring you joy and passion for dance for many years.
